I bring over three decades of experience in the insurance, real estate, and consulting sectors, consistently delivering innovative solutions and building successful businesses. My career began in 1986 when I founded C&G Realty Management, a real estate brokerage firm that I continue to manage today.
In 1992, I expanded my entrepreneurial journey by establishing Golden & Cohen, an insurance brokerage firm that quickly grew to prominence. I successfully led the company from 1992 to 2007, guiding it to become a $157 million firm with a strong portfolio of clients. In 2007, I sold Golden & Cohen to National Financial Partners (NFP), where I continued to drive growth as Principal & CEO from 2008 to 2016. During this period, I expanded the firm’s offerings in commercial insurance, corporate benefits, and private client resources, significantly increasing market share and client satisfaction.
In 2016, I transitioned to a leadership role as Managing Director at NFP, where I currently oversee a dynamic insurance brokerage and consulting firm specializing in comprehensive risk management solutions. My expertise spans across a wide range of areas, including health and life insurance, property and casualty, Medicare exchanges, and corporate benefits consulting.
Beyond my executive roles, I have also contributed to the industry in meaningful ways, including serving on the State of Maryland Insurance Advisory Council and as a member of the National Association of Health Underwriters (NAHU). I am deeply committed to mentoring and empowering other women in business, having co-founded the Maryland Women Ambassadors for Business, a non-profit organization dedicated to fostering mentoring and networking opportunities for women entrepreneurs in the DC metropolitan area.
Throughout my career, I have been recognized for my achievements, including being named a finalist for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award and receiving recognition in the Smart CEO Smart 100.
